The Ocean

This project is a sample of a synoptic I began to animate as a teaser. I was inspired by a pink Manta ray photographed of the coast of Australia. I used colour to portray emotion.

An underwater Atlantis. The ancient sea turtle temple represents the life of the ocean which is under threat - referencing the sadness the creatures face against sea pollution. Mermaid Statues guard the temple but are crumbling apart.

An octopus lives deep in the terrain terrified sucking all the colour out of the ocean. The black ink represents the taking of the sea. The pink manta ray gracefully swoops through the ocean spreading its joyful colour to restore the heart of the temple.

It’s quite a loose idea, open to interpretation but has a few meanings and messages to connect with.
